Does online tutoring work?
Online tutoring enables you to get the best tutors for your child not matter where you live. With traditional tutoring you are limited to tutors who live in your area. Even if you and your child are away from home, your child can still have a lesson. Where ever you have an internet connection and a computer. Online lessons also have the benefit of the tutor begin available at short notice or late hours, as the tutor do not have to travel to your location.
Will online tutoring suit my schedule?
You can view the availability of your tutor online and book lessons that will suit your schedule. As we offer a 1-on- 1 service we have limited time slots, we do recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Only a lesson paid in full will be booked and will not be available to anybody else.
How does online tutoring work?
A lesson is an 1 hour online tutoring session. You child will need a computer, stable internet connection and a quiet and non-distracting space to have a successful lesson. Your tutor will assess prior knowledge, teach new content, assess the understanding, do examples together, your child using a small whiteboard and pens. Your tutor will also sort out misconceptions, build on that by allowing your child’s to do in a tutoring book, we number the lesson- this is also used for revision purposes.
Are the online lesson live?
It is live and 1-on-1 with a qualified teacher. Your child will benefit from talking to an experience tutor who can adapt a live lesson to what is needed by you child to learn and improve. No other students to cause distractions.
Does my child work while you are on call?
Correct, like with a traditional class your child get a lesson and complete exercises while we are on a call.
What software do you use for the meeting?
I use Zoom (preferably) for all my lessons, as it integrates with our online software. Zoom has a free version and is very use.

Which Curricula are being taught?
We mostly teach CAPS, but also have learners doing IEB or Cambridge. We have tutors with international teaching experience and have taught it all. We will accommodate your child’s needs.
What is the price per online lesson?
The price of a lesson includes
- Preparation, tailor-made to your child’s level and needs.
- The online lesson held by a qualified and experienced teacher.
Pricing may vary
- Prices may vary depending on the level of education your child needs. A tutor , teaching university level may have a different rate to a tutor teaching grade 1 English, due to the time needed including research , if required to enable FULL support.
- We do offer promotions, package deals.
- Lessons are paid for in advance during the online booking process.

What happens if I need to postpone or cancel a lesson?
You may postpone or cancel a lesson, BUT, should you wish to cancel or postpone a lesson, we require at least a 24 hour notification prior to the lesson. Kindly remember that your tutor has spend time to prepare for your child’s lesson. It is also difficult for a tutor to book another student at such short notice. Because your tutor is paid per lesson completed, your tutor will lose income for this lesson as he or she can not get this time back.
