Edu2Joy offers two courses for Grade 1 Afrikaans: “HUISTAAL” for Afrikaans speaking learners, as well as “ADDISIONELE TAAL” for English/other language speakers. We specialize in reading and spelling as most learners struggling with Afrikaans needs extra help with skills to develop techniques to address these issues.
We focus on understanding WHAT the learner is reading, explaining the MEANING, teach the correct spelling of words. The HOW we address by focusing on correct pronunciation, correcting and practicing, repeating – all in a game as to keep the learner’s interest and concentration level high.
Edu2Joy’s aim is to support, reteach if needed by using easy methods and strategies to develop the skill of learners to make understanding and retaining of learning content easier.
Many learners have issues with spelling, reading and writing and these issues reflect in all subjects in later years because they believe they can’t do it, which is a misconception , based on the fact that they were not taught properly!
